About the Property

These boho chic holiday huts are located in the picturesque Comporta village, and are available for short-term rental. Three gorgeous traditional ‘huts’ refurbished to offer ultimate contemporary comfort without compromising on charm. The ‘huts’ are surrounded by nature and enjoy resplendent views of the estuary.

In order to maintain a feeling of sanctuary and privacy, the property is rented as a whole, making it a great property to accommodate a group of friends or two to three families. With a maximum capacity of 12 people.

The houses have 3 private parking spaces, a pool, hammock and garden, barbecue area, outdoor shower, and tree-house. This is what summer dreams are made of.

The three houses are divided as follows:

·     Main Hut (4 people)

The Main Hut is where all the social activities takes place. It has an open-plan  living-room, dining-area for 12 people overlooking the green rice fields and the Sado River.It’s the perfect spot for you to invite your friends for a drink or a sunset party. The fully-equipped kitchen also benefits from an outdoor barbecue where you can grill your fish of the day.

Two tastefully decorated private suites complete the main house.

·     Love Hut (2 people)

Built with local wood and screed concrete floors, the love hut combines nature and contemporary architecture, yet respects the simplicity of the region’s fishermen’s houses. The master bedroom offers a very spacious king size canopy bed, a walk-in closet,  and a luxurious bathroom.

 Remote and beautiful, it is perfect for a couple who just want to kick back and relax. The love hut seems like heaven on earth surrounded by vast rice fields.

·     Kids Huts (6 people)

A home blessed by nature where you can let the kids run free.

The kid’s hut benefits from a fantastically relaxed environment and bohemian décor.

 It has 3 bedrooms: 2 rooms with twin beds ideal for kids but also comfortable for single adults, plus an additional bedroom with a bunk bed.  

Additionally, a  small-living room is available with a fully equipped kitchenette, in case you want to prepare and serve separate meals for the kids.  There is a full bathroom as well as an outdoor shower overlooking the rice paddies which makes washing after a day at the beach just more convenient.

The hut overlooks the garden with  a fantastic pool. Two outdoor lounge areas also support the hut where you can relax and swing on a hammock while you watch your children play. Ah, and we can’t forget the tree house - an unforgettable childhood dream

About the Area

Rice farmers, fishermen and salt makers have been in Comporta for an eternity. For this reason it has a completely unique look and landscape. Rice-paddies, cork trees, pine forests, and wildflowers surround the village. A distinctive architecture prevails here - thatch, grasses, neutral tones with splashes of blue, wood that mirrors the pine and stork's nests (a mascot for the village.)

Pristine coastline, designer boutiques, antique shops, the Museu de Arroz (Rice Museum) as well as several top-notch restaurants with a relaxed feel are a major draw. Sal, on Praia do Pego is a firm favourite with locals and foreigners alike, as is Cavalariça in Comporta Village.

Comporta  is Portugal's prized gem.
